Our Story

In 1985, the WORKE family moved from humid Hong Kong to sunny Australia.

While settling into their new home, they struggled with a climate that was much drier than they were used to. The aridity and intense heat took a toll on their skin.

Everyone felt the effects, but it was the youngest members of the family who suffered most, developing eczema.

Mr and Mrs. WORKE tried countless creams and lotions which promised to soothe the little ones’ delicate skin. None worked, and most contained chemical additives which made the itch and inflammation worse.

In search of a remedy that would heal and nourish without harming, they turned to Nature.

They discovered the Aloe barbadensis (Aloe Vera) plant survives the intense desert heat by naturally storing water. The plant's flesh was hydrating and soothing. Along with natural antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant and antiseptic properties - it was the perfect natural remedy.

The Aloe Vera products on the market fell short. Many were made with more synthetic chemicals than real plant extract. And crucially, freshness was lacking: aloe gel is at its most hydrating and therapeutic when first pressed raw from the leaf.

The WORKEs went into production themselves, perfecting an extraction method that would harness the plant’s full powers.

The result was chemical-free and safe for even the most sensitive skin. Formulated with 99% pure Aloe Vera gel, it’s like applying the flesh from the plant itself.

WORKE’s high-aloe formula is unchanged to this day. Our whole family uses it, and as our family has grown, so has our range of products.
